TaleAI AI Data Processing Statement

TaleAI is an AI-powered interactive-fiction application. Generating your stories requires sending some of your inputs to third-party AI models. This statement explains, in plain terms, what data is processed by AI, who processes it, and what choices you have. It supplements the TaleAI Privacy Policy.

1. Which Features Use AI

TaleAI is built around AI generation. AI is used to:

• Generate story text — each chapter of your interactive story is written by an AI language model based on the genre, characters, and directions you provide.
• Generate the next chapter — when you select a suggested choice or write your own custom direction, that input is sent to the model to continue the story.
• Generate cover images — an AI image model may create a cover or illustration for a story from a short text description derived from your story setup.

2. Data That May Be Involved

To generate content, the following inputs may be sent to our AI service providers:

• The genre you select (for example, fantasy, romance, mystery, sci-fi).
• The protagonist details you enter, such as name, gender, personality traits, and goal.
• The story directions you choose from suggested options or write yourself.
• A short rolling summary of the story so far, so the next chapter stays consistent.

We send only what is needed to generate your current request. We do not send your email address, account identifier, payment information, or device identifiers to the content-generation provider.

3. AI Service Providers

The AI service providers we use are DeepSeek (story text generation) and Volcengine / Seedream, operated by ByteDance (cover, character, and chapter image generation). If you upload a selfie (a Pro feature), that photo is sent to Volcengine to generate a character image that resembles you.

When you use TaleAI to generate a story, the data described above is transmitted in encrypted form (HTTPS) to the AI service providers we use to produce text and images. These providers process the data solely to return the generated result for your request.

We require our service providers to maintain data-protection measures no lower than those described in our Privacy Policy, and to use the data only to fulfil the generation request.

4. How the Data Is Used

• Used solely to generate the story text or image for your current request.
• Not used to identify you personally.
• Not used for advertising.
• Where the provider offers such a setting, we instruct it not to use your inputs to train its models.
• Providers do not retain your inputs for any purpose unrelated to fulfilling your request, beyond what is required to operate their service securely.

5. Nature and Limitations of AI Output

• All stories and images are works of fiction generated by AI for entertainment. They do not describe real persons, events, or facts and do not constitute advice of any kind.
• AI output can be unexpected, inaccurate, or unsuitable for some audiences. We apply safeguards to reduce harmful content, but no automated system is perfect. Please use generated content at your own discretion.
• You are responsible for the inputs you provide and must not submit content that is illegal or that violates our Terms of Service.

6. Your Choices

• TaleAI's core experience depends on AI generation. If you choose not to allow your inputs to be sent for AI processing, story generation will not be available.
• You can stop creating new content at any time, and you can delete your stories and your account (see the Privacy Policy, "Your Rights and Account Deletion").
• You can view this statement at any time from the App's settings.

7. Relationship with the Privacy Policy

This statement supplements the section on AI-generated content in the TaleAI Privacy Policy. For the complete rules on data collection, storage, sharing, and protection, please refer to the Privacy Policy.
